TITLE:
GAS TURBINE PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OPERATING WITH LOWHEATING VALUE FUELS
The work investigated a computational model of a gas turbine that runs on
natural gas. The performance of the gas turbine was evaluated using three types
of fuel: natural gas and the other two had a lower heating value. A decrease in
the surging safety margin of the compressor was revealed when using fuel with a
low calorific value. A surge recovery strategy was adopted. In this case, it is
necessary to bleed air from the compressor. This ensures the technical viability
of the gas turbine.
These findings can be used to study steam boilers that burn gas with different
calorific value of gases.

TITLE:
DEVELOPMENT OF FUEL-FLEXIBLE GAS TURBINE COMBUSTOR
This paper describes the development of a state-of-the-art dry low-NOx and
flashback-resistant combustor for fuel-flexible gas turbines. The development
approach of the multi-cluster combustor consists of three steps: burner
development; combustor development; and feasibility demonstration for practical
plants. This paper also described applications of this combustion technology to
DME and combustion with humidified and high-temperature air for fuel
flexibility. The combustor has been extensively developed for a wide variety of
fuels in order to expand fuel flexibility.
This development can be used to optimize the combustion control system of
various fuels to ensure low NOx and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

Pharmacology. Division.
Let's start with what pharmacology is. Pharmacology - biomedical science of
medicinal substances and their effects on the body; in a broader sense, the
science of physiologically active substances in general. There are two main
divisions in pharmacology, which are pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics.
Pharmacodynamics studies the effect of drugs on biological systems, in general
terms, pharmacodynamics discusses chemicals with biological receptors.
Pharmacokinetics in turn studies the influence of biological systems on
medicine, discusses the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination of
chemicals from biological systems. That's all I wanted to tell you, I hope you
learned a lot.

Today I
have read the article "Preventing infection with an improved silver coating for
medical devices". The article deals with the experiment of scientists, whose
goal was to create a silver coating for medical devices to protect against
bacteria. Bacteria can attach to and collect on the surfaces of medical devices,
creating the risk of dangerous infections. Therefore, scientists want to create
a coating of silver. However, silver can also be toxic. But scientists still
managed to find a suitable safe formula consisting of silver nitrate, dopamine
and two hydrophilic polymers. It successfully repelled eight major types of
bacteria. I believe that this compound is very useful in medicine.

Medicines and health products
Medicinal product - a substance or mixture of substances of synthetic or natural
origin in the form of a dosage form (tablets, capsules, solutions, ointments,
etc.) used for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Before being
used in medical practice, medicinal products must undergo clinical trials and be
approved for use. Groups of drugs are combined according to the direction of
action or the expected effect. To achieve a therapeutic effect, drugs should be
used in the right amount (dose), after a certain period, for a certain time.
Health products are natural products made without the use of harmful substances
and chemical compounds. They help to relax and cleanse the body, affect
metabolic processes, heal and nourish the skin.

Herb
and Drug Interactions. Natural products chemistry
Consumers often self-administer herba concomitantly with conventional
medications without informing their health care provider.Such herb-drug
combinations can produce untoward effects when the herbal product perturbs the
activity of drug metabolizing enzymes and transporters. A natural product is a
chemical compound or substance produced by a living organism. Some of the oldest
natural product based drugs are analgesics. The first antibiotic to be
discovered, penicillin, was isolated from the mold Penicillium. Numerous
challenges limit the use of natural products for drug discovery, resulting in
21st century preference by pharmaceutical companies to dedicate discovery
efforts toward high-throughput screening of pure synthetic compounds with
shorter timelines to refinement.

Exam Topic
Three primary disciplines of Pharmacy
The field of Pharmacy can generally be divided into three primary disciplines:
Pharmaceutics, Medicinal chemistry and Pharmacognosy, Pharmacy practice. The
boundaries between these disciplines and with other sciences, are not always
clear-cut; and often, collaborative teams from various disciplines research
together.Pharmacology is sometimes considered a fourth discipline of pharmacy.
Although pharmacology is essential to the study of pharmacy, it is not specific
to pharmacy. There are various specialties of pharmacy practice. Specialization
in pharmacy practice is typically based on the place of practice or practice
roles including: community, hospital, clinical pharmacy, consultant, locum, drug
information, regulatory affairs, industry, and academia.

design developed by chemists resembles a thermos, allowing the use of released
thermal energy.Scientists have developed a special "pipe-in-pipe" type reactor

so-called heating thermos. The released and absorbed heat was recorded by a

gold and silver.Palladium and other rare, expensive precious metals such as
platinum, iridium, also play a critical role in chemical transformations,

Pharmacology-is one of the cornerstones of the drug discovery process. The
medicinal chemist may create the candidate compound, but the pharmacologist is
the one who tests it for physiologic activity.
If we talk about Soviet pharmacy, then we cannot but say about these people and
their contribution to this science-T. E. Lovitz (1757-1825). He discovered the
adsorption capacity of coal, developed methods of water purification. alcohol,
solutions of mineral salts. D. I. Mendeleev. Together with the St. Petersburg
pharmacist A. V. Pelem established the production of spermine and proved that
the German drug pipuazine is not related to hormones and is not identical to
spermine. S. A. Prizhbytik is one of the founders of a new scientific direction
in pharmacy - biopharmacy. L. F. Ilyin. For the first time, he singled out in
its pure form the active principles of the rhizome of the domestic serpentine:
gallic acid, phloroglucinum pyricatechin.
As you can see, Soviet scientists have made a huge contribution to the
development of world pharmacy. I can say with confidence that pharmacy is what I

The worm begins with a protein precursor, which recruits copper to concentrate
itself into a viscous, protein-rich liquid that is high in copper and
phase-separates from water. Through this process, the worm is able to easily

Lithium
Ion Elements and the Chemical Composition You Need to Know
The basic building block of batteries that power everything from consumer
electronics to electric vehicles is the lithium-ion cell.
Lithium-ion cells are generally not separate parts. They are connected in series
and in parallel to form a final assembly called a battery. But for each battery,
the cell selected determines the life and performance of the entire battery.
Cell performance determines the size, weight, voltage, current, wattage, and
environmental performance of the final battery.

Today I
have read about research about quantum technologies.
Researchers at Los Alamos National Laboratory and their collaborators from the
University of California created electronic building blocks out of tiny
structures known as quantum dots. This dots used to assemble functional logic
circuits. Main advantage over traditional electronic components is cheapness.
Traditional electronic devices which made of silicon are very difficult to
manufacture, because they use sterile rooms and expensive equipment. A colloidal
quantum dot consists of a semiconductor core covered with organic molecules. So
they combine the advantages of well-understood traditional semiconductors with
the chemical versatility of molecular systems. These properties are attractive
for realizing new types of flexible electronic circuits that could be printed
onto virtually any surface including plastic, paper, and even human skin. This
capability could benefit numerous areas including consumer electronics,
security, digital signage and medical diagnostics.
I think that cheapness is the very important quality for electronic devices. I
hope that in the future all electronical circuits will be cheaper, because
technologies should be available to everyone.

solar cells”.A research team co-led by chemists from City University of Hong
Kong and Imperial College London has developed new, highly efficient and stable
perovskite solar cells. The breakthrough invention is expected to greatly
accelerate the commercialisation of perovskite photovoltaic technology,
providing a promising alternative to silicon solar cells.
Traditional solar cells are made of silicon, which has high power conversion
efficiency and good stability. But they are relatively expensive and are
reaching their practical and economic photovoltaic efficiency limits.
Perovskites are regarded as the leading contender to replace silicon as the
material of choice for solar panels. Perovskite solar cells are expected to cost
less, have a low-manufacturing temperature, and are lightweight and flexible.
They can be printed on plastic films as flexible solar cells, or can be used as
window glass coating to absorb sunlight, offering wide usability.

Today I have read in the article “A cool chemical separation technology”. Gas
and liquid separation processes in the chemical industry could be made more
efficient and environmentally friendly by using substances known as
intrinsically porous materials (IPMs).
KAUST researchers review the prospects for IPMs in the journal Accounts of
Chemical Research.
"We focus on making materials that will have an impact on the chemical and
petrochemical industries in Saudi Arabia and the world," says Niveen Khashab,
the corresponding author of the review.
"Through the review, we identified some IPMs with impressive performance," says
Gengwu Zhang, a postdoc in Niveen Khashab's team.
He explains that these IPMs, like other porous materials being developed, could
save 70 to 90 percent of the energy costs of existing technologies, with
consequent environmental advantages.
A key advantage of IPMs over many other porous materials is their stability and
ability to maintain their porous properties in the solid, liquid, gas or
solution states.

Today I have read the article "Flexible printable electrical patches for
accelerated wound healing". A collaborative team from the Terasaki Institute for
Biomedical Innovation has developed a "smart" flexible electric patch (ePatch).
By careful selection of the materials and optimization of gel formulation,
reserchers were able to develop a multifunctional, easy to make, and
cost-effective e-patch. Animal model studies on rats with open wounds were
conducted and the results showed that significantly accelerated wound healing
results were obtained with the e-Patch. I really liked this article and the fact
that I learned a lot of new things.

Today I have read the article "Year-long study shows time restricted diets offer
no benefit".A randomized number of volunteers were also asked to limit their
eating to the hours of 8am to 4pm. The calorie restrictions were divided by
gender. A combined team of researchers has found that time restricted diets
offer no benefits towards weight loss. They also found that restricting eating
to a time-window did not make any difference in weight loss attributes such as
smaller waistlines. To draw the conclusion, one can say that time-restricted
diets do not help people lose more weight than they would have otherwise

Subdisciplines of pharmocology (26.04)
Pharmacology is the medical and biological science of medicinal substances and
their effects on the body. Pharmacology is divided into many subdisciplines that
have their own special subject and methods of study:
1. Clinical pharmacology studies the effect of drugs on the body of an already
ill person, especially in clinical observation.
2. Neuropharmacology studies the effect of drugs on the central and peripheral
nervous system.
3. Cardiovascular pharmacology studies the effect of drugs on the functioning of
the heart.
4. Toxicology studies poisonous (toxic) substances, mechanisms of toxic action
on the body, as well as methods for diagnosing, treating and preventing diseases
developing from such exposure.
5. Pharmacognosy has as its subject medicines obtained from raw materials of
plant or animal origin.

Today I have read the article «Medicines 3D-printed in seven seconds» that talls
about about drugs that can be printed in 7 seconds in the new 3D printing. For
the current study, the researchers loaded printlets with paracetamol, which is
one of many medicines that can be produced with a 3D printer. One of the leading
techniques for 3D printing is vat photopolymerisation, which affords the highest
resolution for complexity at microscales, and also suits many medications as it
does not require high heat. For printing medicines, the technique uses a resin
formulation, constituting the required drug dissolved in a solution of a
photoreactive chemical, activated by light to solidify the resin into a printed
tablet. This technology could be a game changer for the pharmaceutical industry.
I will wait for news on this topic.

Today I have read the article «In a surprise move, honeybee tongue hairs repel
water» which talks about water-repellent hairs on the tongue of a honey bee.
That's unexpected, since most liquid-capturing organs in nature are hydrophilic,
or water loving. But the hairs' hydrophobic nature makes the tongue more
flexible, which is useful when foraging from sources with differing shapes. The
honey bee can feed on flower nectar, juice, fruit juice, or salt water. This
means that his tongue must be able to interact with a wide range of surfaces. An
insect's success in exploiting these diverse resources depends on the properties
of the surface and the deformability of its tongue. In their research, the team
used various forms of microscopy, as well as high-speed video recording and a
computational model. These methods have shown that individual hairs are stiff
and hydrophobic, in contrast to the ring segments, which are soft and
hydrophilic. I really liked this article and I look forward to more news.

History of pharmacy (15.03)
The history of pharmacy is a science that studies the stages of development of
pharmaceutical activity.
The main stages in the development of pharmacy are distinguished:
1. Pharmacy of primitive society. Primitive man used various substances
extracted from the environment to alleviate the suffering from diseases.
2. The period of the emergence of writing. This period dates from the appearance
of the first medical texts. By this time, people had invented the simplest
dosage forms: ointments, powders, lotions, pills, solutions.
3. The formation of pharmacy activities.
In the 13th century, the regulation of the activities of pharmacists and doctors
begins. In 1224, Frederick issued a decree defining their rights and
obligations. In the 15th century, a pharmacy monopoly appears.
4. The period of development of the first chemical theories. During this period,
in order to develop and expand industrial production, it was necessary to resort
to expanding the scope of chemical research.

Internet pharmacy (22.03)
The ratings of online pharmacies are growing every day. This is a fairly
convenient and functional resource where you can not only find the necessary
medicine, but also get a free consultation from friendly employees. But no
matter how excellent qualities the Internet pharmacy possesses, there are still
negative points.
Minuses:
Impossibility of urgent purchase.
There is no way to visually assess the quality of the goods.
Pros:
No need to queue in stuffy rooms.
It is possible, if in doubt, to obtain additional information from employees or
read reviews.
Many online pharmacies have a much larger assortment of goods.
Drawing conclusions, we can say that online pharmacies are quite attractive and
sometimes even necessary.

Herb and drug interactions (29.03)
Phytotherapy is a direction of theoretical and practical medicine based on the
scientific study and use of medicinal plants or preparations derived from them
for therapeutic or prophylactic purposes. Phytotherapy has a beneficial effect
on the functioning of the whole organism, providing a tonic and immunomodulatory
effect. Phytotherapy is highly effective, harmless, has practically no
contraindications. With the help of medicinal herbs, nature itself, maternally
gently, softly, as sparingly as possible affects the patient. Treatment with
medicinal herbs, in which the ingestion of infusions of various herbs and plants
has a beneficial effect on the functioning of the whole organism, the blood and
vital organs are cleansed of toxins and toxins, and its protective functions are
increased. In this case, there are no side effects on the organs, as is often
the case with chemical therapy.
https://voca.ro/18psiyWE3rWS
Medicine development and safety testing (05.04)
Formulation development refers to the process of converting an active substance
into a ready-to-use drug product that can be administered at a specific dosage
as needed. The development of dosage forms is carried out in accordance with the
principles of preparation and formulation of medical preparations, which are
aimed at optimizing their absorption. The manufacture of all medicines for human
use, including generics and biosimilars, is subject to the GMP standard.
The GMP standard contains requirements regarding the production, testing and
quality assurance of the drug in order to ensure that it is safe for people to
take.
The GMP standard is based on several fundamental principles: hygiene,
environmental control, marketing.

The
history of medicine and pharmacy is a history of ups and downs, insights and
disappointments, it is a struggle for life and health. But, despite the
obstacles posed by society and nature, medicine and pharmacy developed,
preserving the ideals of mankind.
Throughout the centuries-old history of mankind, medical and pharmaceutical
knowledge has intertwined into a single ball. The study of history allows you to
better assess the current state and anticipate the future directions of medicine
and pharmacy. Medicines were prepared in the form of powders, powders,
infusions, decoctions, ointments, cauterization stones and other forms. Thus,
the origins of the pharmacy business were traditional medicine and traditional
healers, passing on their experience from generation to generation.
And despite all the difficulties at every stage of the development of pharmacy
in our country, the pharmacy business has reached a high level of development.

The paper consists of new approach to realize visual vision in robotic systems,

functions which are often used to represent the probability density function of
a normally distributed random variable. The authors have a suggestion to
decompose image on deffierent color masks (red, blue, green, yellow). It is a
imitation to mammalians which are have dual color vision (red/green,
blue/yellow). The masked image will have conspicuous areas. On the next steps
the image goes to chain of mapping (scaling, saliencing, orientating). As a
result, the processed image will be obtained in black-white view. The main point
of this approach is using it only in 2D vision. The authors provide a benchmarks

Digital
Representation of Measurement Uncertainty: A Case Study Linking an RMO Key
Comparison with a CIPM Key Comparison by Blair D. Hall and Annette Koo
At the moment the national and international infrastructures that disseminate
critical measurement information throughout society are due for renovation.
There is a need to digitize paper systems designed to operate and control. This
paper considers a future scenario in which digital reporting of measurement
results is ubiquitous and digital calibration certificates contain information
about the components of uncertainty in a measurement result. Special handling of
additional data can be laborious and prone to error. An uncertain-number digital
reporting format was considered in this case study, which caters to all the
information required and would simplify the comparison analysis, reporting, and
linking; the format would also enable a more informative presentation of
comparison results.

Surface-Sensing Principle of Microprobe System for Micro-Scale Coordinate
Metrology: A Review by Masaki Michihata
Since a coordinate measuring machine is still the most reliable measurement
system for evaluating object shapes, dimensions, postures, and positions there
are a number of problems associated with measurements. Scale effects work for a
small probe tip, i.e., the probe tip tends to stick on the measurement surface
via surface adhesion forces. Therefore, to realize micro-CMMs, many researchers
have proposed microprobe systems that use various surface-sensing principles
compared with conventional CMM probes. In this review, the surface-sensing
principles of microprobe systems were the focus, and the characteristics were
reviewed. Also the individual microprobe system with different sensing
principles was described to clarify the performance of each sensing principle.

Effect
of a Misidentified Centre of a Type ASG Material Measure on the Determined
Topographic Spatial Resolution of an Optical Point Sensor by Janik Schaude,
Andreas Christian Gröschl and Tino Hausotte
Surface texture determines the functional behaviour of a manufactured component
and is therefore crucial in many different areas such as electronics, optics,
medicine, information technology, or consumables. Metrological comparability is
ensured by the metrological traceability of the measurement result, which goes
along with a statement about the measurement uncertainty. Authors discuss
topographic spatial resolution that quantified by the lateral period limit
measured on a type ASG material measure, also called (topographic) Siemens star.
Remarkably, a misidentified target centre leads to quite significant errors of
the determined lateral period limit. Therefore, a modified Good Practice Guide
is proposed to determine determined lateral period limit more accurately.

Limitations in Multi-Fringe Readout of Laser Interferometers and Resonators by

Laser interferometers that operate over a dynamic range exceeding one wavelength
are used as compact displacement sensors for gravitational wave detectors and

there are many noise sources have to be considered for any given scheme, they
are fundamentally limited by additive noise in the readout. This article shows
how achievable noise levels can be obtained for one of these interferometer
methods, the deep frequency modulation interferometer. This analysis was then
applied to optical resonators and it was shown that frequency scanning
techniques can in theory benefit from such resonant enhancement, indicating that
the sensitivities can be improved in future sensors.

medicinal substances and their effects on the body; in a broader sense, the
science of physiologically active substances in general. There are two main
divisions in pharmacology, which are pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics.
Pharmacodynamics studies the effect of drugs on biological systems, in general

A Control Strategy of the Air Flow Rate of Coal-Fired Utility Boilers Based on
the Load Demand
The article analyzes the relationship between the calorific value of various
types of coal and the theoretical need for air. Research has shown that the
theoretical air volume required to generate the same amount of heat during
combustion is the same for different types of coal. A strategy for controlling
the air flow rate for coal-fired boilers has been implemented, in which the air
flow rate is a function of the specific load. Using an air flow control strategy
improves steam pressure stability and reduces coal consumption.
These studies can be used to control the heat output of steam boilers when the

Measurement of Conducted Supraharmonic Emissions: Quasi-Peak Detection and
Filter Bandwidth by Guglielmo Frigo
In modern power systems, the integration of renewable energy sources relies on
dedicated inverters whose power electronic circuitry switches at high
frequencies and causes conducted emissions in the supraharmonic range. It is
very important to measure the amount of emissions, as well as set the emission
limit and the performance requirements of the switches. The paper considers a
recent algorithm for the identification of supraharmonic components and
discusses how its estimates affect the estimation of quasi-peak values. In view
of the complete standardization of supraharmonic emissions in power systems, the
project aims at developing rigorous and reproducible measurement procedures, as
well as defining plausible emission limits and uncertainty budgets.

In this article reports on a Python package that implements algorithmic data
processing using ‘uncertain numbers’, which satisfy the general criteria in GUM
for an ideal format to express uncertainty. The algorithms and simple data
structures that show in this article provide an example of how metrological
traceability can be supported in digital systems. In particular, uncertain
numbers provide a format to capture and propagate detailed information about
quantities that influence a measurement along the various stages of a
traceability chain.

Designing Possibilistic Information Fusion—The Importance of Associativity,
Consistency, and Redundancy by Christoph-Alexander Holst and Volker Lohweg
Since the discipline of information fusion is concerned with the aggregation of
uncertain information from several sources it aims to generate higher quality
information by reducing uncertainty. In this article, an automated data-driven
design approach for possibilistic information fusion topologies is detailed that
explicitly considers associativity, consistency, and redundancy. The proposed
design is intended to handle epistemic uncertainty—that is, to result in robust
topologies even in the case of lacking training data. The fusion design approach
is evaluated on selected publicly available real-world datasets obtained from
technical systems. It has also been shown that discounting defective sources and
estimation fusion reduced the effects of defective sources.

Scientists suspects that the scallop species developed a special surface

regions have disordered or smooth shell surfaces, the Antarctic species has a
microscopic, very regular structure. The ridges of these mollusks ensure that
the water there mostly freezes. Due to the low adhesion between ice and shell,
the smallest underwater flow can therefore wash off the ice again and the
scallop does not freeze. In addition to microscope studies, the research team
also conducted icing experiments with the Antarctic and with a scallop from
warmer regions. I really liked this article and I look forward to continuing

Today I have read the article "Cancer-fighting viruses soften up their victims
before attacking". A research team based at the University of Ottawa and The
Ottawa Hospital has developed a virus that infects and kills cancer cells
without harming normal cells. The strategy relies on extracellular vesicles,
tiny particles that pinch off from a cell and fuse with other cells. They found
that this novel virus can work with other forms of immunotherapy, as well as
with small-molecule drugs, to enhance cancer-killing even further. It seems to
me that the virus will help fight cancer. It will save the lives of millions of
people.

Herb
and Drug Interactions.

Today I
have read the article "Producing ammonia through electrochemical processes could
reduce carbon dioxide emissions".It's about developing a method to produce
ammonia through electrochemical processes, helping to reduce carbon emissions.
This research aims to replace the Haber-Bosch thermochemical process with an
electrochemical process that is more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
This method also requires a hydrogen feedstock derived from non-renewable
resources. It is not sustainable and has negative environmental impacts, which
increases the need for new and environmentally friendly processes. Also, the
study has the potential to reduce the carbon footprint and global energy
consumption on a larger scale.

The
future of pharmacy
Pharmacy today is one of the most developed industries. Now pharmacy as a science
is gaining momentum every year. And in the future, this process will continue,
as people do not stop coming up with something new to interest their customers.
Every day, new technologies are being developed and new drugs are being created
so that patients can be cured.A pharmacist, like a doctor, is responsible for a
person's life, and I hope that this state of affairs will continue in the
future. For example, nanotechnologies are already being used to manufacture
medicines. At the moment, there are diseases for the treatment of which drugs
have not yet been invented. Therefore, medicine and pharmacy should solve this
issue.

Today I

antiviral pills, what kinds they are and their effectiveness. Two emergency
antiviral drugs that can be taken at home in pill form have recently been
approved for emergency use: Paxlovid from Pfizer and molnupiravir from Merck and
Ridgeback Biotherapy. Paxlovid reduced the risk of hospitalization or death by
89 percent, and Molnupiravir reduced that suffering by 30 percent compared with
placebo pills. Antiviral pills are also scarce and are also a priority for the

Hi,
today I have read about printing electronic components on 3D printer. Its very
important study because in nowadays you have to have very big factory for
creating more than one type of electronic component.
The University of Nottingham has found way of how to use inks to 3D-print novel
electronic devices with useful properties, such as an ability to convert light
into electricity. Paper co-author, Professor Mark Fromhold said, “By linking
together fundamental concepts in quantum physics with state-of-the
art-engineering, we have shown how complex devices for controlling electricity
and light can be made by printing layers of material that are just a few atoms
thick but centimeters across.”. There was so many troubles to structure more
than one sheet of graphene, but researches solved this problem with 3D printer.
Dr Lyudmila Turyanska from the Centre for Additive Manufacturing, said, “While
2D layers and devices have been 3D printed before, this is the first time anyone
has identified how electrons move through them and demonstrated potential uses
for the combined, printed layers.
After reading articles like this I think that “tomorrow comes today “, and we

Today I have read the article “Bacteria generate electricity from methane”.
Generating power while purifying the environment of greenhouse gases should be
achievable using bacteria. In a new publication, microbiologists from Radboud
University have demonstrated that it is possible to make methane-consuming
bacteria generate power in the lab. The bacteria, Candidatus Methanoperedens,
use methane to grow and naturally occur in fresh water such as ditches and
lakes. In the Netherlands, the bacteria mostly thrive in locations where the
surface and groundwater are contaminated with nitrogen, as they require nitrate
to break down methane. "In the current biogas installations, methane is produced
by microorganisms and subsequently burnt, which drives a turbine, thus
generating power.”

Today I have read the article "Chemists close in on greener way to make
plastics". It has long been known that the production of plastics is quite toxic
to the environment. And scientists have been trying to solve this problem for a
long time.
So researchers decided to come up with a less dangerous for environment method
to obtain the desired polymers, which they succeeded in. Because in recent years
chemists have developed tabletop reactors called electrochemical cells,
scientists had an idea where to go. However, this technology is not flawless due
to the elements consuming highly alkaline additives.
The problem was nevertheless solved by a complete refinement of the technology.
And now, in addition to the fact that it runs on renewable energy, the toxicity
of products has been reduced significantly. It is also worth noting that
although production still needs fossil fuels to produce CO, the scientific work
done reduces the risks to nature and is also quite effective.

ultracold molecules tend to sneakily heat up again, so researchers can no longer

Being able to better see and control ultracold molecules would help scientists
assemble a quantum machine piece by piece, says Jun Ye, a physicist at the
University of Colorado Boulder, who was not involved in the study.
A pioneer of ultracold molecule experiments, observed early on that reactions—a
matter of quantum chemistry instead of quantum physics—were somehow heating
molecules up.
This interaction heats up the molecules, causing some to lose their ultracold
status.

Today I have read the article "Machine learning aids in materials design". This
article was about machine learning models that could predict the behavior of a
new molecule discovered by chemists as quickly as possible with extreme
accuracy. Namely: its properties, structure, boiling point, ability to react
with other substances, etc. Naturally, this is a gigantic achievement for
chemical engineers, because the availability of such equipment makes their work
dozens of times easier. In my opinion, this article was informative, I am
pleased that technologies do not stand still and it is becoming easier for
people to study compounds from chemistry, because this accelerates the progress
and evolution of science.

Chemists are making a breakthrough in the creation of three-dimensional
molecular structures.
The main goal of organic and medicinal chemistry in recent decades has been the
rapid synthesis of three-dimensional molecules for the development of new drugs.
These drug candidates exhibit many improved properties over predominantly planar
molecular structures, as reflected in clinical trials for higher efficacy and
success rates. However, they could only be produced at great expense or not at
all using the previous methods. Chemists led by Professor Frank Glorius
(University of Munster, Germany) and his colleagues, Professor M. Kevin Brown
(Indiana University at Bloomington) and Professor Kendall N. Hawke (University
of California, Los Angeles), have now succeeded in transforming several classes
of flat nitrogen-containing molecules into the desired three-dimensional
structures. Using over 100 new examples, they were able to demonstrate the broad
applicability of the process. This study will be published by Science on Friday,
March 26, 2021. I suggest reading to all chemists who want to know more about
this.

Today I have read the article titled "A Machine Learning Solution to Create
Materials with Desired Optical Properties." The article points to an
understanding of how matter interacts with light - its optical properties - is
critical to a variety of energy and biomedical technologies such as targeted
drug delivery, quantum dots, fuel combustion, and biomass cracking.
However, calculating these properties requires large computational resources,
and the inverse problem - designing a structure with the desired optical
properties - is even more difficult.
Now scientists from the Berkeley lab have developed a machine learning model
that can be used to solve both problems - calculating the optical properties of
a known structure and, conversely, designing a structure with the desired
optical properties.
It is noted that understanding the radiation properties (including optical) is
no less important in the natural world for calculating the effects of aerosols.
As a specialist who will work with chemical structures, this discovery will help
me work much faster and better.

Title: Hydrogen and natural gas mixture
The paper considers the addition of hydrogen to the natural gas mixture in an
internal combustion engine. It has been shown to have a beneficial effect in
terms of improving combustion properties and reducing polluting emissions. A
trade-off between the reduction of NOx emission and increase of backfiring,
which is inevitable for burner combustion of pure hydrogen, is there by avoided.
Lean-burn operation maintains emission of nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and
total hydrocarbons at a much lower than that for natural gas only.
These studies can be applied to solve environmental problems associated with the
release of pollutants into the environment.

In this study, the combustion characteristics of various biogas/air mixtures
with the addition of hydrogen at elevated temperatures were experimentally
investigated. The studies were carried out for three fuel samples. The results
showed that hydrogen has a positive effect on the blowing speed. The influence
of the CO2 content in the mixture was investigated in relation to the laminar
combustion rate for all compositions. The results of the experiment showed that
a biogas mixture with a higher content of CO2 has lower values of the laminar
combustion velocity. These studies can be applied to simulate the combustion of
mixtures of biogas and air.

Instead of waiting for the launched missiles to hit the target (which would be
concrete evidence that the strike has taken place), such a system is designed to
detect enemy launches early, which allows a retaliatory strike before the weapon
for this strike can be destroyed.
How to prevent disaster: give nuclear missiles the ability to cancel the launch

organizations for any purpose. The most convenient were fingerprints. There were
also those who said that they were not very comfortable or completely
uncomfortable with the widespread use of biometrics and also gave reasons.I

Today I have read the article "Finally, 3D-printed graphene aerogels for water
treatment". An airgel is a light, highly porous solid formed by replacement of
liquid in a gel with a gas so that the resulting solid is the same size as the
original. Graphene is incredibly light. This airgel, used for filtering water,
sits atop a single tissue. In tests, the reconfigured airgel removed certain
heavy metals, such as lead and chromium, that plague drinking water. Graphene
excels at removing contaminants from water. I believe that in time we will use
it to purify water.

Today I read an article about new process of 3D printing graphene aerogels.
Aerogel is a new, light highly porous material which can be used as a filter
material. Graphene is a molecular nanomaterial from carbon pressed to a flat
layer and carbon has a straight hexagonal lattice. Combining this two materials
gains us a perfect filter, which could be used in water filter systems, because
of its chemical inertness and good absorbing properties. Technique of 3D
printing this material could solve a problem of scaling filter sizes and could
be helpful on a big water filter stations. I think this is a big breakthrough in
health safety field and I hope it will help to make our safety more cheap and

Today I have read the article "The water surface is a fantastic place for
chemical reactions". The text tells that the researchers found a big difference
in the rate of reactions on the surface of the water. According to them, this
discovery can help to understand how processes occur not only on the surface of
the water, but also in living organisms.
In the course of the study, the scientists compared the photoionization of
phenol. Since this reaction has been well studied in bulk water, the results
surprised the researchers. At the interface between the liquid and the
atmosphere, the reaction rate increased 10,000 times.
The authors also note that the research method they used can be used for other
substances. Also, this discovery can help to understand exactly how different
substances settle and interact on the surface of the same sea water. And this
may explain some strange reactions in nature with which regularly encounter
other scientists.

Today I've read the article "Sustainable electric aircraft". Research published

in order to make the transition to sustainable, electrically powered
aircraft.Turbo aircraft fed by liquid hydrogen may well offer a viable
alternative provided the hydrogen is sustainably sourced, the team suggests, but
this would require serious consideration in terms of safety. The team concludes
that before electric fleets become tenable for the aviation industry there needs
to be a "paradigm shift in the fuel infrastructure development, and above all, a
decisive policy shift in the way environmental problems are tackled.
There perhaps remains a significant delay in departures before we see electric
aircraft taxiing to the runways and taking to the skies. It is organic chemistry
that can offer high-quality fuel for such aircraft in the future. In this
regard, such a development of technology instills optimism in me as a

However, the metal surface of Li-metal batteries is highly reactive, and there

Ammonia has supported humanity since the early 20th century, but its production

not require the high temperatures, high pressure, and huge infrastructure

And the new production method, demonstrated in laboratory tests of the concept,

Today I have read the article "Electrical Engineering and its use". I would like
to elaborate on what it is first. Electrical engineering is a professional
engineering discipline that generally deals with the study and application of
electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. It is the branch of engineering
that deals with the technology of electricity. Electrical engineers create,
design and manage electricity to help power the world. They are problem-solvers
who study and apply the physics and mathematics of electricity, electromagnetism
and electronics to both large- and small-scale systems to process information
and transmit energy. So, that is the profession that establishes electricity and
is meaningful to the society.

Today I have read the article "Scientists develop environmentally safe,
frost-resistant coatings". This article is about the new environmentally safe,
frost-resistant coatings. The researchers developed an extensive family of more
than 80 anti-freezing coatings, which can be classified as polymeric solutions,
emulsions, creams and gels. The formulations can be easily applied to aluminum,
steel, copper, glass, plastic or any industrial surface without preconditioning
or expensive surface treatments. The coating can delay the formation of frost for
a long time, and the ice on the surface is quickly removed by the wind. I think
the material would be useful on the farm, as it is biologically pure.

Today I have read the article "Learning from the single cell: A new technique to
unravel gene regulation". A technique to measure both gene expression and DNA
packaging at the same time was developed by Franka Rang and Kim de Luca,
researchers from the group of Jop Kind. This method, EpiDamID, determines the
location of modified proteins around which DNA is wrapped. Following the
development of this technique, the Kind group will focus on the role of PTMs
from the point of view of developmental biology. Thus, this method of research
will help to study the early development of organisms.

Today I have read the article "Researchers discover the genetic cause of
sometimes deadly esophageal disorder in dogs". Researcher Leigh Anne Clark, an
associate professor in the Department of Genetics and Biochemistry, and her
collaborators developed a genetic test for the disease that German shepherd dog
breeders can use to reduce the risk that puppies in future litters will develop
the disease. Discovered when the puppies are weaned from the mother's milk to
solid foods at about four weeks of age. In my opinion, this test can help
breeders reduce morbidity while preserving genetic diversity.

Today I have read the article «How is haze formed? Soot as a surprising source
of haze-building hydroxyl radicals» which tells about the newly discovered
mechanism of radical formation may also open up new vistas for air purification
and energy. Haze consists of fine particulate matter containing soot. It is
formed when gaseous pollutants, which are from industrial emissions, vehicle
exhausts, and other sources, are converted to condensable matter. new
experiments showed that soot particles can produce OH radicals if air and water
vapor are blown over the particles while being irradiated with light. The
results of their study led the team to the conclusion that soot particles play
an active role in smog formation. I really liked this article, I will wait for
news on this topic.

cells. Through a study of human gastric cells infected with the stomach
cancer-causing bacterium Helicobacter pylori, the researchers identified a
specific site on a host protein that is targeted by ROS and regulates tumor
growth. The study has implications for other infections and casts new light on
the mechanisms that may stimulate formation of tumors following chronic
bacterial infections. I really liked this article, I will wait for news on this

materials and a better understanding of the multi-step chemical reactions that
take place at complex interfaces. Also on these surfaces, the material changes
from a hydrogen-free phase to a hydrogen-rich phase as its constituent molecular
units react and bond with hydrogen and rearrange themselves structurally.I was
very pleased with similar transformations that regulate various chemical and
electrochemical processes of energy storage, from hydrogen storage materials to
batteries.

Today I have read the article "Heat storage:Scientists develop material that is
stable, efficient and eco-friendly".
It's about an invention that is a so-called shape-stabilized phase change
material. It can absorb a large amount of heat, changing its physical state from
solid to liquid. The stored heat is then re-released as the material
solidifies. But despite this, unlike hand warmers, panels made from this blend of
materials do not melt when heat is absorbed.I really liked the study when the
team describes the steps in creating the structure of the material and how
different chemicals affect each other. It could also be combined with other steps
in the future to help make buildings significantly more energy efficient or
provide passive cooling for photovoltaic systems and arrays, thereby increasing
their efficiency.

more efficient removal of carbon dioxide (CO2) from mixed gases, such as
emissions from power plants."To demonstrate the capability of our new membranes,
we looked at mixtures of CO2 and nitrogen, because CO2/nitrogen dioxide mixtures
are particularly relevant in the context of reducing greenhouse gas emissions
from power plants," says Rich Spontak, co-corresponding author of a paper on the
work. "And we've demonstrated that we can vastly improve the selectivity of
membranes to remove CO2 while retaining relatively high CO2 permeability."

Today I read an article entitled "Chemists develop variety of industrially
important synthetic processes". The article rather succinctly tells about the
fact that in the last few years, in the chemical industry, compounds with double
bonds, the so-called C = C, have been used quite often. And about the fact that
a group of scientists created a new bond, which is more stable than C = C,
called G = G. It is not difficult to call this a fairly breakthrough solution,
because thanks to this, the reactions are more stable and the expected result
has become much more predictable. As a student of the Faculty of Chemistry, I
meet this discovery with a smile on my face, and I am sure that in the future it
will be useful to me for sure.

Title: Numerical Simulation of Combustion Process of Fuel Gas Mixtures at
Refining Industry
The paper considers the efficiency of the combustion process with the
variability of the composition of combustible gases depending on the
characteristics and production conditions. With the help of computational
methods, the calorific value, energy efficiency and emissions are estimated. The
simulation model used describes an isobaric system in a stationary and
unidirectional state. The results obtained by modeling and experimentally
indicate that the model used describes the combustion process and can be
estimated reliably and economically. These studies can be used to calculate the
adiabatic temperature of the combustion process of fuel mixtures.

Title: Air fuel ratio study for mixture of biogas and hydrogen on mild
combustion
The paper examines the fuel-air ratio (AFR) for a mixture of biogas and
hydrogen. The study found that the AFR for biogas blended with 20% hydrogen
produced a lower AFR than 30% hydrogen. For biogas mixed with 20% hydrogen, the
achieved AFR is 5:1; and for biogas mixed with 30% hydrogen, the achieved AFR is
4:1. In the combustion process, in order to use up all the fuel, the AFR must be
above 4:1. These results can be applied when choosing the optimal criterion for
the fuel-air ratio when burning a mixture of fuels.
